He possesses a strong academic foundation in English and writing as well as real-world experience in teaching others the fundamentals of effective writing and communication skills. He is the author of a job search book based on his work with hundreds of college students as an associate professor of technical communications. Noble holds a Ph.D. in literary criticism from New College, University of Edinburgh in Scotland; a master's degree in divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary; and a bachelor's degree in English from Wesleyan University. For sabbatical, postdoctoral work, he studied graduate American literature and popular American culture at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
